There is something submissive about a young man in the prime of his life allowing himself to be tied to a post and beaten, stripped, and nailed to a cross without resistance. In the lives of monks, priests and nuns, self-flagellation and other ways of mortifying the flesh (including genital torture devices) were once normative. Now, everyone knows that they are usually attracted to members of the same sex and quietly get down during the Great Silence.

If Jesus did live as described, he would have married his mother and raised a family with her, not lived a sexless life then died on a cross.

Jesus, the mangod is a broken off piece of the divine. Most broken off pieces of the divine which have a human component are mortal, however Jesus is immortal god playing at being human. The pain of mortality is the submissive part of Jesus, but his immortal dominance is there in the end. 

The submission of Jesus seems like a ploy or a trick, similar to Dionysus who is always hiding in seemly normal men or women. In Greek myth, Dionysus often surprises those he fools and destroys them. Jesus is similar but a more fully idealized god. Jesus is false submissive who was actually dominant, topping from the bottom. 

Perhaps the play of Dominance and submission brings humans into the audience of the gods and therefore brings about spiritual awakening and ecstasy.

Boy, this is easy. If Jesus was all male, he would of course have been dominant. If he was gay, then he was submissive.

That's it right there. Just as Jesus has to be both wholly human and wholly divine, encompassing each entirely in order for the sacrifice to have meaning, Jesus could also be both wholly dominant and wholly submissive. I suspect that within his divinity, Jesus encompasses all things that are human. To say he is either dom or sub is to try to limit him, which is probably not going to work very well.

Jesus appeared to be a dom switching as a submissive for his love to his father, God. It is through this action that Jesus showed his humility and ultimately service to the human being. When he became angry it presented him with the challenges of being human which was his sacrifice.

It is an interesting question because we are brought to see once again how spirituality can become one with S/M and how S/M is a component which can be used to experience greater oneness within one's self to evolving towards a higher self.

I believe that Jesus is on top of everything. If his role seems to be a sub, I think it's only because it is the best way for him to get his point across. I think if he's dom it's because no one is paying attention for what he needs done. He is our father so he acts accordingly.

I have played both sub and dom and I think sometimes people don't realize that in most instances the sub is the one who sets the pace for what is done to them. I don't think there's that many people who turn themselves over to the dom. The dom is carrying out the wishes of the sub. Of course, that's my take on it. I think Jesus doesn't need to be anything that won't help us. Not trying to be religious, only my opinion.

I think he'd be a switch, but I guess the whole crucifixion thing makes him a sub. Depends on whether you're talking pre-resurrection or not.

What about that whole "turn the other cheek thing?" I forget when he said that, and in what context, but that's definitely a submissive thing to do.
